Matchali is going back to its roots, The Upper House

Matchali's Matcha & Hojicha Drinks Available at its new popup at the Upper House

On November 2nd, Matchali is going back to its roots, The Upper House. Returning to this urban sanctuary after making its debut there in 2020, Matchali will be whisking their mighty green matcha powder, jam-packed with healthy goodness and clean energy.  This homecoming is complete with a generous whisking counter where customers can see matcharistas in action, hand whisking drinks made to order —an ideal spot to enjoy a stress-fighting jitter-free cup of matcha.

Inspired by the relaxing hues of matcha, this new store features earthy greens along with warm shades of pink, set against the neutral tones of The Upper House. Digital screens and graphic displays sit on either side of the counter, where customers can learn more about the many health-boosting properties of Matcha and its cultivation process.  Featuring indoor and outdoor seating, plant yourself amongst one of the many tables and chairs that sit surrounded in foliage or wander outside to The Lawn and enjoy your favourite drink out in the sun, the perfect time of year to do so.

The menu features classics like the Matcha and Hojicha Latte and signature favourites like the Yuzu Lemonade Matcha and the Strawberry Matcha Latte. Just in time for Autumn is the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte, a warming blend of cinnamon, cloves, fresh pumpkin and nutmeg. Along with the much loved Hojicha Coco, Matchali’s version of an indulgent and comforting hot chocolate, made with creamy coconut milk and a pinch of salt.

For those looking to indulge in the dark side, Matchali’s all-new Dirty Matcha combines their classic Matcha Latte with a shot of Café Kitsuné espresso. The Café Kitsuné house blend uses beans from South America that are then roasted in Okayama, Japan. Inspired by the classic Hong Kong Yuen Yeung drink, this modern interpretation combines the best of both caffeine lovers’ worlds, bringing almond chocolate notes to the earthy taste of matcha.  A stone throws away from Matchali’s Pacific Place venue, with just a 3-minute walk between the two, you’ll find The Upper House counter whisking Hong Kong’s favourite matcha.
