This summer, Hung Hom’s dining scene gains a spectacular harbourfront Mediterranean gastronomic haven, helmed by The Silver Oak Group.

Situated on the ground floor of the 5-star Harbour Grand Kowloon Hotel, steps away from the Hung Hom promenade, this brand-new dining concept promises a fresh taste of the Mediterranean basin’s most prized dishes all offered with panoramic views of the iconic Victoria Harbour.

The Bayside’s spacious venue covers indoor and terrace dining, offering a bright and comfortable backdrop for seaside dining and special celebrations. With an extensive menu featuring Mediterranean flavours from Valencia to Venice; selections include fresh oysters, zesty ceviches, delectable tapas, homemade pastas, in-house dry-aged meats, globally-sourced seafood dishes lined with an exclusive wine-list and exciting cocktails, each tempting the diner to relax, imbibe and bathe in the atmosphere of a soon-to-be, ‘place-to-see-and-be-seen’.

Boutique Design of Interior and Patio with Stunning Sea Views

The Bayside’s warm and welcoming interiors have been styled by renowned Hong Kong design virtuoso, Hernan Zanghellini, and his team at Zanghellini & Holt Associates. Enter the restaurant, and be greeted by an elaborate arrangement of sapphire-toned vintage hand-painted mosaic tiles, carefully selected to provide a welcoming charm. Shades of blue and orange enclose the space, echoing the picturesque sunsets that vividly glow above the open Mediterranean Sea. Lounge seating with chic terrazzo tables are artfully arranged throughout.

The 6,000 sq. ft. space includes indoor seating, and a generous outdoor patio where guests can dine al-fresco. The Bayside can accommodate up to 220 guests, marking its potential as a venue for large-scale events and wedding celebrations. The open-kitchen displaying the bespoke dry-age meat-cellar is located at the heart of the restaurant, providing a multisensory gastronomic experience bound to impress. The open bar is conveniently situated adjacent to the open-kitchen, where guests can enjoy expertly handcrafted cocktails, imported beers, or house-infused gins. Private-dining areas are also available for group celebrations.

A Medley of Mediterranean Delights

The Bayside menu is an extensive and bespoke selection of the Mediterranean’s best. Transport yourself to the coastal regions of Spain, Italy, France, and Greece at this comfortable dining space, which truly captures the convivial and enjoyable atmosphere of these regions. Premium ingredients have been sourced from Southern Europe, ensuring an authentic experience that gourmands will delight in. From midday to midnight, The Bayside offers a wide array of all-day dining options for guests to choose from. During lunch, a buffet-style spread of antipasto with a variety of premium charcuterie, soups, salads, cheese, a pizza station and homemade desserts will be available for guests alongside their chosen entrée. Delectable afternoon tea sets will also be available in the late afternoon, offering guests an array of savoury tapas and sweet delights. Dinner is in full-swing from 5:30pm, where The Bayside’s a-la-carte and tasting menu approaches Mediterranean cuisine with bright vivacity, integrating well-loved flavours from the region into their vast selection.

With Spanish Head Chef Javier Perez and Executive Chef Gary Batra at the helm, The Bayside promises a relaxed casual fine dining experience to patrons, bringing authentic flavours from the Mediterranean region to the heart of Kowloon, complimented with top-notch hospitality from Silver Oak Group, the name behind acclaimed haunts including Quiero Más and Gaylord.

Set against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour in one of the city’s up-and-coming business and residential centres, The Bayside also positions itself as a destination for resident foodies and corporate crowds looking for the perfect Happy Hour sip with seaside vistas. The talented bar team is helmed by the master Mixologist and Sommelier Vincent Chue, and the in-house infused gins offer an unprecedented beverage experience that cannot be found elsewhere. Patrons of The Bayside can enjoy their Happy Hour drinks indoors alongside a selection of Mediterranean bar bites, or sip al fresco on the patio, as the sun sets over the horizon. Adding to the excitement, The Bayside will also be introducing Jazz & Brunch by the Bay on weekends, where guests can enjoy live jazz music (to be opened depending on COVID-19 regulations) as they savour their favourite Mediterranean tapas, mains, and free-flow drinks.
